Help and answers

The questions that come up most, buyer and organizer, answered the way the software actually behaves.

Where is my ticket?

It is emailed to the address given at checkout, one email per attendee, as soon as the payment settles. The order page shows the same passes, so search your inbox for the order reference on your payment confirmation. If the payment did not settle, no pass exists and nothing has been charged.

I paid and nothing arrived. What now?

Open the order status page from the link on your payment confirmation: it says whether the payment has settled, is still being processed, or failed. If it says paid and the email is not in your spam folder, write to support@kuriolabsltd.com with the order reference and the address you used, and the pass can be re-sent to a working address.

Can I run a free event?

Yes. Set a ticket type's price to zero and the checkout stops asking for one: the buyer names each attendee, the order is confirmed immediately, and every attendee still gets their own pass by email. A free ticket carries no processing fee, because there is no payment to process, and the free ticket is still stock-controlled like any other.

Can I give my ticket to somebody else?

Only if the organizer allowed it. When transfers are on for the event and your ticket type, the pass page offers to hand the ticket to another email address; the person who accepts gets their own pass and yours stops working. The offer works for a week and only before the event starts, and nothing moves until somebody accepts it, so an offer nobody takes leaves the ticket with you. A forwarded email does not transfer anything, and a screenshot never did.

How do I choose a seat?

If the organizer opened a seat map, the ticket page draws it and you pick a seat. If you would rather not choose, the checkout allocates one for you. When somebody takes the seat you picked between choosing it and paying, the page names the seat and asks you to choose again rather than selling it twice. An organizer can move a pass to another seat afterwards from the attendee list.

A show is sold out. Can I still get a ticket?

Leave your email on the sold-out ticket type and you are in that queue. When a ticket comes back (a refund, a released hold, a transfer nobody accepted), the first person in line is emailed a link and the ticket is held for them for a short window. If they do not take it, it goes to the next person in line.

What does the processing fee cover?

Collecting and settling the payment. It is charged to the buyer on top of the ticket price and shown in naira before the payment button. The organizer is credited the full ticket price. Pricing has the detail, including why it does not print a percentage.

How do I get a refund?

A refund is the organizer’s decision, because they receive the money for the tickets. If an event is cancelled, every buyer with a paid order is emailed a claim link, and the link is valid for 90 days. A refund returns the ticket price and not the processing fee. Refunds and cancellations covers the whole route. Ticket money is held until a few days after the event ends, so it is normally still there to pay you from; the page also says what happens in the rare case that it is not.

Do my ushers need to install an app?

No. The gate is a web page. Each usher gets an access code, opens the gate in their own browser, and the pass list syncs to the phone while it has a signal. After that the phone keeps admitting people with no network at all. The offline check-in guide explains how to staff a door around that.

What happens if two people scan the same pass?

The second scan is refused as a duplicate, and the phone says when the pass was already admitted and by whom. Online and offline admissions obey the same rule: a pass is admitted exactly once, and an admission taken offline is replayed to the server when the signal returns rather than being a separate truth.

Why was my pass refused at the gate?

Two refusals are about the event rather than the ticket. The gate only admits inside the event's check-in window, which opens at the doors time by default (earlier if the organizer opened it early) and closes at the end of the event. And a pass is admitted once, so a second scan is refused as a duplicate. A refunded, cancelled or transferred pass has stopped working by design, and the gate's operator can search the guest list by your name or the order reference if the phone will not scan.

Why does my QR code look different each time I open it?

Some events use a live code, which changes on a timer so that a screenshot is worthless. Those emails link to the pass rather than printing a picture of it: open the link and the code you see is the one the gate accepts at that moment.

How do I get paid?

Ticket sales settle into your wallet as orders are paid. A payout goes to a bank account you add, and the withdrawal is confirmed with your password or an authenticator code. If the platform applies a chargeback reserve, the withdraw screen shows what is held and when it is released before you confirm. A sale taken for cash at the door is credited the same way, with no processing fee, because nobody processed a card.

Can I download my sales for an accountant?

Yes. Every finished month can be downloaded as a statement from the wallet: the month's ledger rows in order, with the totals and the closing balance, generated from the ledger rather than added up a second time. The file is signed when the platform holds a signing key and says so in its header when it does not.

Can I sell tickets for cash at the door?

It is a per-event switch and it is off unless you turn it on. Once it is on, anyone working the gate can record a cash or transfer sale from the same phone that scans: the buyer is named, a seat is allocated, and the sale is an ordinary order, so it is credited to your wallet and appears in the same books. The buyer does not need an email address; a walk-up without one is admitted by name from the gate's guest list.

How does an event get into the Featured strip?

Somebody at Tickus chooses it. Being featured is not for sale and there is no switch an organizer can press: a published, listed event can be chosen for a run of a set number of days, and when the run ends the event drops back into the ordinary directory order by itself.

Can somebody else help run my account?

If you want them to. The account owner can invite two kinds of staff. A manager can build and publish events, see attendees, send announcements and manage gate staff, and cannot see the money. An accountant can see the balance, ledger, statements, payouts and refunds, and cannot publish or delete an event. Only the owner can invite or remove somebody, and an account with no staff keeps the single login it has always had.

How does my event appear in the directory?

Publish it and list it as public. It then appears on the directory and, once it is upcoming, on its city and category pages. A draft is invisible, an unlisted event is reachable only by its own link, and an event that has ended drops out. The directory guide explains what buyers can filter by.

Can I delete my account and its data?

Yes. Delete your account lists what is removed and what has to be kept for financial records. Buyers have no account to delete: a pass is a link, not a login.

Nobody has answered my question yet. How do I reach a person?

Write to support@kuriolabsltd.com. Contact lists what to include so the first reply can actually help: the order reference, the event, and what you have already tried.

Still stuck

Contact has the address and the details that make a first reply useful. If you are looking for how something works end to end, how it works is the longer version, and the guides go deeper on pricing, the gate and the directory.
